Cheryl A. (Williams) Smith, 57, wife of James P. Smith, passed away suddenly at her home in Gilbertsville on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Randall Williams Sr. and Nancy June (Edwards) Williams.
In her free time, Cheryl enjoyed gardening, working on her house, home improvement projects, spending time at the mountains, camping and interior decorating. She also liked to read, do puzzles, and sew. Cheryl loved spending time with her family. She was a second mom to so many nieces and nephews and was loved by all her family, friends and coworkers. Cheryl worked as a Senior Operator creating medical tubing for the last 12 and a half years. Her impact on both her family and her coworkers will sorely be missed.
Surviving along with her husband Jim of 33 years, are her children Adam Smith, Adrienne Schaeffer, wife of Dave, and Ethan Smith; sisters Diane Leibert, wife of Barry, Kathy Jeffers, wife of Lenny, Jean Hartman, and Debra Hunter, wife of Wayne; brother Kenneth Williams Jr., husband of Lori; Grandson Raymond Smith; many nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Edwards.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with David Swift officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately by the family.
Due to the unexpected death of Cheryl, the family is asking for financial assistance in lieu of flowers.
