David B. King, 75, of Pottstown, North Coventry Twp., formerly of Royersford, husband of Karen (Martin) King, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1. 2021 at Seasons Hospice.
Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late John J. and Rita (Batteaux) King.
David was a US Marine Corp veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He also served in the PA National Guard, the Army Reserve, and was very active at the Royersford VFW Post 6341. He was employed by Jay Gress Inc. and PWI before his retirement in 2007. David also enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
Surviving with his wife of 48 years are daughters Kimberly Getz, wife of Bradley and Heather Loughin, wife of Ryan; brother John “Jack” King, husband of Patsy; sisters Nancy Guthridge, wife of Richard and Maryann Brennan, wife of Michael; and grandchildren Taylor and Logan Getz, and Colton, Carter, Charleigh, Crew, and Cashlyn Loughin. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Deborah Pontino and brother Joseph King.
At David’s request, there are no services. The family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s name to the charity of one’s choosing.
