Add My Condolences

Wow, what a way to hear three months later that my Uncle/ Godfather passed away via the internet. My Uncle Gene was the younger brother to my father James Rykowski. I’ll never forget the time my Uncle Gene/ Godfather gave us a remarkable Christmas because his older brother/ my father was laid off from work and could not provide us with Christmas gifts so MY Uncle Gene did. My Uncle Gene had my father, his brother’s back. Aside from all of the other work my Uncle Gene did, he also worked for Kodak and traveled to Japan. I remember MY Uncle Gene informing us of those travel stories. Uncle Gene also held a license in Realestate and worked for Century 21 in Lafayette Hill PA. Because of him I obtained my license in Realestate too for fifteen years. My Uncle Gene was a wonderful, kind, considerate and remarkable family and business man. He was funny, carefree, easy going, kind hearted and loving. I’ll never forget the time being at a family wedding of a first cousin of theirs Lenard Rykowski my second cousin me being four years old and asking Uncle Gene to dance with me at the reception. He did. May he dance in heaven with my grandparents Sarah & James Rykowski and my mom and Dad James and Mary Elizabeth Rykowski the first and our brother his nephew David Rykowski too. Rest In Peace Uncle Gene. You were loved. You’re niece, Maureen.
