James Adamson, Sr., 83

James Adamson, Sr., 83, of Schwenksville, husband of Dot (Mack) Adamson, passed away Friday October 22, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Ursula (Brown) Adamson.

James and his wife Dot met as children and were best friends for 68 years. It was a true girl next door story that blossomed into a marriage of 61 years.

James was a loving family man who cherished spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking, fishing and traveling to Disney World and Knoebels Amusement Park. James and Dot gained an extended family while camping each season at Warwick Woods campground for 17 years. He took pleasure taking the grandsons fishing each season. He enjoyed all sports but was especially fond of baseball. The grandchildren have fond memories of taking camping trips to Knoebels in the ultimate behemoth motor home.

He enjoyed classic cars and made many trips to car shows and classic car runs with his son James. While living in Bradenton Florida, he liked going to the beach with his son Michael. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed going to games with his son Richard. He also continued to spend a week each year vacationing with his son Richard and family at Knoebels.

Surviving along with his wife are three sons James Adamson, Jr. husband of Brenda, Michael Adamson husband of Connie, and Richard Adamson husband of Kathy; grandchildren Jeffrey Adamson, Erin Osting, Gina Madalgia, Eric Adamson, Tiffany Adamson, Ashley Adamson, Jeffrey Schwartz, Maryann Schwartz, and Cody Adamson; eight great grandchildren; and one sister Judith Adamson.

Along with his parents, James was predeceased by his brother Albert Adamson and sister Ursula Schmick.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified of the service date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_dcm=58700007427504969&sc_cid=kwp&sc_cat=b&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1285465&ds_rl=1291300&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI69Pk18vj8wIVaU1yCh05Gwg9EAAYASABEgIYGPD_BwE
