Ann Theresa Reinert, 77

Ann Theresa (Doetzer) Reinert , 77, of Boyertown, PA, entered into God’s kingdom on December 12th with family by her side. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2015 and ultimately passed away in hospice at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest due to complications after suffering a stroke.

Ann was born February 29th 1944 in Manhattan, New York to parents Anna (Mayse) Doetzer and Martin A. Doetzer.

Ann met and fell in love with David L. Reinert and was married for 42 wonderful years. She had two sons from a previous marriage and was a wonderful mother to three stepdaughters.

She attended the New York Hospital School of Radiography in New York City, NY and graduated in 1965 with a degree as a Radiologic Technician and went on to work in hospitals in New York and in Norristown and Allentown, PA . She was a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Pennsylvania Society of Radiologic Technologists after graduation. In 1979 she completed a course in tax preparation. Later in her life she studied to be a Medical Assistant at Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute in Pottstown, PA, and graduated in 1991 with a diploma as a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant graduating alongside her two sons who had graduated high school and college respectively in the same year.

Ann was multi-talented and worked in other various jobs throughout her life outside of the medical field including McDonalds while getting her MA degree, Osan’s Knitting Mill and Bicycles and Things bike shop which was owned by her husband. Her longest medical career was with Pottstown Memorial Medical Center as a nursing assistant for most of her time there and then briefly transitioned into a medical records position before retiring.

In her spare time she was an avid crafter mostly creating plastic canvas pieces and was passionate about reading her books. Her favorite reads were Nicholas Sparks and Mary Higgins Clark. Throughout her life she was devoted to studying the bible and learning more about the Lord. She was a member of the Tops group when she attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyertown. Ann later became a member of Living Faith Lutheran Church in New Berlinville until she passed and she loved her church family. Her love of the Lord and her loving and kind nature made her a wonderfully precious person to all that knew her. She was proud of and encouraging to all of her children and grandchildren no matter what direction life took them. She will be sorely missed but proudly and lovingly remembered.

Surviving along with her husband, David, are her two sons Michael Sherrill and wife Teresa, and Keith Sherrill; three stepdaughters Christine Supplee and husband Mark, Bethanne Reinert, and Amanda Peck and husband Greg; eight grandchildren Isaiah, Jeremiah and Sophia Sherrill, Sarah, Hannah and Rachel Supplee, Zachary Reinert, and Andrew Cook; one great grandson Vladimir Reinert; and one sister Tess.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 8, 2021 at 11:00a.m. with a visitation with the family starting at 10:30a.m at Living Faith Lutheran Church, 1206 Montgomery Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES.
