Sheila M. (Collins) Rightnour, 88, wife of the late Philip E. Rightnour, passed away on Thursday, January 6 at Topton Lutheran Home.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late William P. Sr. and Marian E. (Dillman) Collins.

Sheila loved her family and being part of the “Collins Clan.” Her creativity was obvious from an early age, and she was deemed the yearbook illustrator at Norco High School. She loved learning and making things; her art includes stained glass, doll making, quilt making and all types of needlework. Her hands were rarely idle. She was well known for her portraits of people as she sat with them, whether it was church, work meetings, or family gatherings; she saw beauty in the every day and made a point to share it with others. One of the highlights of her life was music and singing; she often participated in local musicals, singing for members of churches, schools, and specialty events, especially singing with her sisters and mother, or the Melody Maids.

Surviving is daughter Lucinda L. Willis; sons Philip “Scott” Rightnour and Robin D. Rightnour; brothers William, Stephen, Andrew, and Dewey Collins; sister Marsha Peterman; grandchildren April Maxwell, Jonathan Rightnour, Arianne Rightnour, Lauren Gincley, and Gunner Rightnour; and five great grandchildren: Allison Maxwell, Riley Maxwell, Timmy Cantz, Nadia Clevenger, and Bennett Gincley. Along with her husband and parents she is predeceased by her sons Brian Lee Rightnour and David Allen Rightnour; brother John Collins; and sisters Barbara Collins Phillips, Kathleen Collins Eschbach, and Marian Collins Wampole.

Always loving but very feisty, I loved my Aunt Sheila so much. She helped raise me and showed us how to be part of something bigger, but still remain unique, true to yourself, and loving. She went through many terrible things but never lost her fire. Love you Auntie, Jimmy John

May you find peace in all the memories that you have with her and know that they are probably all up there singing and dancing with the stars!!
