Harry Leon Fry, Jr., “Sonny”, of Dagsboro, DE, formerly of Pottstown, East Coventry Township, husband of Susan (Lyon) Fry, passed away on Saturday, February 12, at home.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Harry Leon Sr. and Margaret E. (Miller) Fry.

Harry worked for Mrs. Smith’s Pie Co. in Pottstown for 37 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM Stichter Lodge #254 in Pottstown becoming a 32^nd degree mason in the Reading Consistory. Harry was an active volunteer for many years at the Philadelphia Steam Fire Engine Company #1 in Pottstown, serving as their Chief, 1^st & 2^nd Assistant Chief, Vice President, Secretary, House Committee Chairman, Fire Committee and serving on their Board of Directors. Harry also was a member of Goodwill Fire Company in Pottstown, Liberty Fire Company in Spring City, Amity Fire Company in Amityville, Gilbertsville Fire Company, and West End Fire Company in Stowe. He was a US National Guard Member, was a life member of the American Legion Post 601 in Sonestown and a social member of the American Legion Post 602 in Spring City. Other memberships include life member of the Pottstown Quoit Club, The German Club, Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman’s Club, Camp Westdon, Inc., in Laporte and the Holy Trinity Club and Manatawny Association, both in Pottstown.

Surviving with his wife are children Cindy Irick, Bonnie Moore, wife of Raymond Moore, Barbara Brendlinger, wife of Charles Brendlinger, Harry Fry III, Craig Fry, Randy Fry, husband of Cindy Fry, and Ernest Fry, husband of Sharon Fry; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by son-in-law Gary Irick, and one granddaughter.

A funeral service will be Friday, February 18, 12:15PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC, 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM with a Masonic Service to promptly start at 12:00PM
