Samuel Surman Jr., 68, husband of Karen Dawn (Sundstrom) Surman, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Samuel Surman Sr. and JoAnn Florence (Mast) Surman.
Samuel worked at Dana in Pottstown for 44 years. He was a member of Boyertown American Legion, a member of Pikeville Gun Club, and a member of St. Gabe’s Lodge in Stowe. Samuel enjoyed hunting, music, and going out on his son’s boat. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife Karen, are his sons Christian Surman, husband of Patti, Joshua Surman, husband of Kiowa, and Seth Surman, husband of Carla; sister Sharon Dice; grandchildren Seth David Surman Jr., Isabella Surman, Victoria Surman, and Nova Surman; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southeastern Veterans' Center (11 Independence Dr, Spring City, PA 19475) in Samuel’s name.
