Michael “Mike” Joseph Billetta, 25, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2022.
Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of Michael P. Billetta and Carol A. (Smith) Powell.
Michael had a love for the outdoors and animals and enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking and being by the water. Fishing was his true passion - he never went anywhere without his rod, made his own fishing lures, and loved to share photos of his catches on Instagram.
Michael proudly served in the United States Army for over two years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Specialist and was very knowledgeable with weapons and guns. Michael had an unassuming intelligence and was known for his sharp, dry, and sarcastic sense of humor. He also enjoyed reading and had a keen interest in maps and geography.
Most of all, Michael was kind. He was always willing to help loved ones with projects or anything that was needed with a simple smile and generous heart.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Carol A. (Smith) Powell, stepfather William J. Powell; his father Michael P. Billetta, brothers Anthony M. Billetta, and Nicholas M. Billetta; Aunts and Uncles Donna and William VanDusen, Diane Rebecca Smith, Joseph D. and Lynn Billetta, Stephen L. Billetta, and many cousins. Also survived by grandmothers Joan M.
