John “JK” M. Krupiak, 64

John “JK” M. Krupiak, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late David and Rebecca Jane (Rauenzahn) Krupiak.

John was an avid NHRA fan, and was the track manager at Maple Grove Raceway for many years. Drag racing was a way of life for John.

In 1972, John was a member of a baseball team that played their national championship game at the Reading Phillies Stadium. He was awarded MVP of that game.

John was an avid sports fanatic, especially when rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Michigan State Football.

John is survived by his son David M. Krupiak; daughters Kristyn Wanish and Kassie Krupiak; sister Becki Krupiak-Maly, wife of Mark Maly; and brother David J. Krupiak, husband of Marty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the National Kidney Foundation (https://www.kidney.org/).

Add My Condolences

I worked closely with JK as the announcer at Maple Grove Raceway from 2004 to 2007. He was much more than a great track manager, he was my friend. It was pleasure to have worked for him. The racing community has lost a good one for sure. Condolences to his family.
