Nathaniel S. Moyer, 43

Nathaniel “Nate” S. Moyer, 43, of Boyertown, passed away Thursday October 20, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Scott A. Moyer and Tammy N. (Moser) Bauer.

Nate was a 1997 graduate of Oley Valley High School, and later earned a degree from Allentown Business School. After spending several years working as a glazier, he worked hard to start his own business in construction.

Anyone who knew Nate could recognize him by the sound of his hearty laughter and by the sight of his electric blue eyes. He had a broad sense of humor that ranged from silly to sarcastic, and he was always willing to lend a hand to help his friends and family.

Nate was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and kayaking. He was known as a Philadelphia sports fan, regular concertgoer, and hot-sauce enthusiast.

Above all, Nate’s proudest accomplishment was his daughter, who he supported by attending her dance recitals, church performances, and sporting events. His spirit lives on through her inherited sense of humor and ocean-blue eyes.

Surviving along with his parents is his daughter Gracelynn Pearl Moyer; maternal grandmother Avanell Moser, wife of the late Neil; paternal grandmother Pearl Moyer, wife of the late William; step-brother Collin H. Moyer; step-mother Denise Moyer; former spouse and mother of his daughter Taryn L. Moyer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held Thursday October 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held for friends and family Thursday from 1:30-2:45 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gracelynn Moyer’s Scholarship Fund.

My sincerest condolences to Tammy, Graceland and the family at this oh so difficult time. It was a blessing to have Nate come to the house to help me continue the work that my late husband Steve had started and never finished due to his sudden passing. Steve as you know was so particular and fussy about the quality of work needed for our project. I didn't know who I could trust to meet up to the standards that Steve would have wanted. Until I met Nate. He was the best man for the job. He was friendly, Professional, extremely conscientious and respectful. He was patient and let me lead him as to exactly what Steve would have wanted. He will be missed by many. Peace and light to the family and Nate as he journeys on.

Tammy my heart is breaking for you. As I write this there are tears streaming down my face remembering that sweet boy I once knew. Nate was like a son to me and I have endless memories of him as he pretty much lived at my house all those years ago. Even though I have not seen him of late I always thought I would run into him. Memories of his laughter, big smile and awesome sense of humor fills my heart with joy and then it quickly breaks in half. Nathen was one of a kind and his spirt will be truly missed. The world is a little lest bright knowing he’s gone. My heart breaks for you and your family. I can only pray that in time the many memories of Nate will bring a smile to your heart. He will always be part of my heart. Love to you and your entire family.

Tammy,
Our thoughts and prayers are will all of you. Nate will always be remembered as one of the dearest people in an era of my life that greatly influenced who I am. I have no doubt his impact on people beyond me has been profound and so many of us will remember him forever. Much love to you and hoping you find strength in this very unfortunate journey.

Rest easy my dear friend. In my heart, you will always be that 16 year old kid with the patched up hat and blue eyes who I shared some of the most incredible moments of laughter. I can still hear that laugh and will always remember all the moments of beating up on each other. If I ever knew what it was like to have a brother the same age, it was because of you and our closeness back then. Thank you for all the memories, Natedogg.
