Diana Elaine (Dotti) Smith, 55, of Gilbertsville, formerly of Bridgeton, NJ, wife of Douglas Scott Smith, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Born in South Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of Anita (Howell) Dotti and the late Richard Dotti.
Diana was an amazing wife, mother, friend and passionate professional as a pediatric and school nurse. Diana believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. While attending Trinity E. C. Church in Boyertown, Diana was a Sunday School teacher, Youth and Cell group leader, and work camp volunteer. She shared her faith on mission trips to Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras and Peru. Diana recently returned to New Hanover United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Women’s Ministry.
Both Diana and Doug lovingly supported the “Woofi the Missionary Puppy” ministry established to share the “Good News” and to bring comfort to people around the world. Her faith was deep and unwavering. In the community, Diana was heavily involved with “Josh’s Angels” Relay for Life Team. She was also a Girl Scout leader and supported her daughter in receiving her Gold Award.
Diana received her R.N from Bucks County Community College, Bachelor’s in Nursing/Certified School Nurse accreditation from Kutztown University and went on to receive her Master’s in Education from Gratz College. She worked as a certified school nurse at Boyertown Area School District. She loved kids! Her commitment to children and service was reflected in her career and in her church and community involvement.
In her spare time, she poured her creativity into crafts like scrapbooking and recently, furniture renovation – she did amazing work with this! Diana leaves a legacy of love for home and family.
