Donald Joseph Chabin, 87, husband of Florence J. (Vance) Chabin, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny (Smiegoski) Ciebien.
Donald was an avid fisherman in his spare time and coached little league baseball. He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Parish in Pottstown and later became a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Schwenksville. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving along with his wife Florence of 63 years, are his sons Ken Chabin, husband of Chris, and Kevin Chabin; grandchildren Kerri Chabin, Alex Chabin, and Alicia Chabin.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Fr. Brandt officiating. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) in Donald’s name.
Don you will be sadly missed by all your friends and neighbors, that smile you always had is so much a part of you! You were always fun and we had alot of good memories of the trips we alltook together over the years! We will be there for Florence if she needs us, so dont worry she will be fine! I will miss my Buddy. We grew to love he and miss Flo shortly after becoming neighbors. I will always remembers is laugh. He always shared one with me. Rest well my friend, you will always remain in our hearts.
