Frances (Fahringer) Bickel, 95, of Pottstown, wife of the late Harry Hunsburger Bickel, passed away on Wednesday at Coventry Manor.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Amelia (Kase) Fahringer.
Frances was a member of Coventry Church of the Brethren, NORCO Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla #44 in Linfield and a 4-H Club leader for more than 20 years in Chester Co.
She is survived by her children Helen Turner, wife of Lee, Concordville, Ann Yocom, wife of James, Bozeman, MT, Kenneth Bickel, husband of Bonnie, Pottstown, Barbara McNally, wife of Mark, Phoenixville, Harry L. Bickel, husband of Beth, Airville, and Brenda McFadden, Pottstown; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Phyllis Bickel, sisters Helen Johnson and Lulu Rinehart and her brother Jerry Fahringer.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 10:30 AM at Coventry Church of the Brethren, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown with Rev. Sandford J. Christophel (Coventry Church of the Brethren) and Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Motz (St. Vincent UCC) officiating. Burial will follow at East Coventry Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church.
