Frances T. (Pauly) Hnath, age 83, wife of Stephen Hnath, of Laurelwood Rd., North Coventry Twp., died Saturday in Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford.

Born in Frackville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Schragen) Pauly.

She had worked at the former Jacob’s Plant 2, Pottstown, and later at Dana Corp., which at that time was called Spicer’s. After working at Spicer’s, she then worked at Neapco in Pottstown, in the accounting office.

She was a member of St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Pottstown, where she had been a member of the St. Aloysius Senior’s group. Prior to this, she had been a member and volunteered her time to the St. John’s Ladies Guild of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church.  She was also a member of the Neapco retiree’s.  Frances enjoyed gardening and her home, but most of all she loved and enjoyed her family.

Surviving with her husband of 61 years, is a daughter; Gwenn F., wife of Paul G. Sawchuk, of S. Coventry Twp., along with two granddaughters, Andrea M. Sawchuk, of Pottstown, and Erin K. Sawchuk, of Royersford.  She was pre-deceased by a daughter; Ellen K. Hnath, and 2 brothers; Lawrence and Peter F. Pauly, along with six sisters; Elizabeth Williams, Dolores Timmins, Madeline Mete, Maria Hadley, Virginia Scheifley, and Celeste Gribb.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Hanover & Beech Sts., Pottstown.  Burial will be in St. John the Byzantine Church Cemetery, Pottstown. Friends may call on Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:15 AM, at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 711 N. Franklin St. Pottstown.
