Frank Joseph LaCoy, Jr., 79, of Boyertown, husband of the late Teresa C. (Zwack) LaCoy, passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph Sr. and Catherine (Rosnewski) LaCoy.
Frank loved to work, as a young man he worked his way thru the newly opened KMart as a stock boy and quickly became manager and was moved around with his family opening and running several of them for 36 years. And in his 50’s merged over to Walmart and stayed local with his wife (MiMi). He went in and out of retirement with jobs delivering car parts, back to Walmart and he just re-retired in 2020 from working at Giant. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Frank’s love for his wife is a love to remember. He and Teresa (MiMi) loved to camp together and spend time with their family. Frank’s easy smile and greeting is something so many will remember. He enjoyed cruising thru town in his Mustang convertible and frequenting the casino. He would also be seen taking walks with his Rascal and whistling.
Surviving is his son John LaCoy husband of Christine; daughters Maribeth LaCoy and Michelle Cimino wife of Louis; grandchildren Matthew, Nathaniel, and Lauren; and great grandchildren Austin and Vera.
Along with his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister Lois Angelini.
A memorial service will be held Saturday May 1, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00-1:15 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to the American Diabetes Foundation or the ASPCA/Animal rescue.
