Frederick M. “Freddy” Harms, 64, of Gilbertsville, beloved husband of Jacqueline Marie (Marinelli) Harms, passed away Friday May 1, 2020 at the Pottstown Hospital. Fred and Jacque celebrated 28 years of marriage this past February.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Dagfin Harms and the late June Byrer (Mayer) Harms.
Surviving along with his wife and father are three sons Erik, Christopher, and Bryan Harms; sister Hildi Lukof wife of Dave; his in-laws Doris and Angelo Marinelli, 7 nieces, 6 nephews and 4 great-nephews.
Fred was a devoted husband, brother, son and father who loved helping his kids with all of their projects. He was especially proud to help all 3 boys with their Eagle Scout Service Projects and that fact that all 3 reached the rank of Eagle Scout.
Fred loved spending time with his dogs Heidi and Blu. He also loved spending time in the outdoors boating & fishing, kayaking, and camping with his family. Fred enjoyed feeding and watching “his” birds in the backyard. He also enjoyed cooking, grilling, and smoking food for his family and friends. He was a Philadelphia sports fan cheering on the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services will be private.
