Gary David Loughin, 78, husband of Judith (Rauscher) Loughin, passed away on January 22, 2021 at home in Davenport, Florida.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary Loughin.

Gary and his wife Judith recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 5, 2020. The couple lived in Pottstown, PA and Davenport, FL. Gary was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, class of 1960. He also served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. Gary Retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber and Occidental Chemical Corporation after 30 years of employment. He also worked at A.S.K. Inc., worked for Fred Kerlin Plastering and was self-employed as a plasterer. Gary was a member of Saint Gabriel’s Lodge, Pottstown Quiot Club, Stichter Lodge #254 F&AM, Elks Lodge 814 (54 years) and Scottish Right Masonic Lodge of West Reading. He also enjoyed many years of hunting (Kerlin’s Camp) in Potter County, and Knights Island in Maryland where he would both hunt and fish with his father-in-law Karl Rauscher. His greatest joy was his family.

Surviving with his wife of Judith is his stepson Craig Gulotta, his 5 grandchildren, Danielle Weikel, wife of Matt Weikel, Dara Finaldi, wife of Christopher Finaldi, Kirstin Gulotta, Nicolas Gulotta, and Caitlin Moffitt; and 5 great grandchildren Grace Weikel, Ava Weikel, Logan Finaldi, Landon Finaldi, and Alaina Moffitt; brother Randy Loughin, husband of Judy; and sister Pat Kerlin (late spouse Fred Kerlin). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his stepson Dean Gulotta; brother Richard Loughin; and sisters Cindy Kulp and Betty Jane Braccischi.

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private. The family will host a memorial visitation when life returns to normal. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pottstown, PA.
