George C. Ditty, 81, of Pottstown, husband of Claire A. (Schaudt) Ditty, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at home.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late George V. and Myrna (Etter) Ditty.
George was a US Army veteran. He was a member of St. Columbkill RC Church in Boyertown and for 25-years sang in the Church’s contemporary music group “Emmanuel”. George was also a member of the community theater Limelight Productions and the Reilly Raiders Drum Corp. in Philadelphia. He loved music, sports, especially baseball, and had a passion for antique cars, in particular his own prized 1970 corvette.
Surviving with his wife are daughter Sharon Colletti, wife of Charles; son Michael S. Ditty, husband of Lisa; brother James Ditty, husband of June; and grandchildren McKenna, Danielle, Kian, Josh, Shane and Brianna. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother John Ditty and sister Stella Heller.
Services and interment are private. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a later date.
