Grace Rounds of Pottstown passed away at Pennsburg Manor after a short illness.
Grace was born on October 27, 1926 to the late Victoria and Frederick Spieth in Spring City. She was a member of Zions’ United Church of Christ, Pottstown. She helped serve community meals in town. She was a member of Women’s Fellowship, taught Sunday school, and loved her church family. She worked at Bemiss Jason for twenty-six years before retiring in 1988. Sewing, baking, walking, shopping, word games and visiting with her family were her pleasures in life. Moving to Keystone Villa when she was 90 years old started a new chapter in her life where she joined the balloon volleyball team. She loved to exercise and kid around with her friends at the Villa. A quick wit and a great sense of humor made her very lovable. Acceptance was a great word to describe her as she accepted everyone for who they are.
She has four children with her late husband, Russell Drumheller, Sr. They are Russell, Jr, husband of Linda Drumheller; Lee, husband of Barbara Drumheller; Vicki, wife of the late William Jenkins; Shari, wife of Bruce Albitz. She has one stepdaughter with her late husband, William Rounds; Linda, wife of Frederick (Rick) Gunn. She has eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was a prayer warrior and everyone’s cheerleader. Encouraging the family and celebrating achievements were second nature to her. There are scrapbooks filled with the family’s milestones and accomplishments. She will be missed as the matriarch of the family.
Services will be held at Zion’s UCC, 209 Chestnut St, Pottstown on Thursday, May 27th at 11:00AM. The family will greet people from 9:30 – 11:00AM. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zion’s UCC or the MS Society in Grace’s name.
