Gregory M. “Pop” Dargan, 58, of Phoenixville, husband of Susan J. (Trill) Dargan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Raised in Pitman, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Helen R. (Miller) Dargan. Greg worked at Delaware Steel of Pennsylvania as a broker up until his passing.
He loved his family above all else and cherished the time he would spend with them and his dog Buddy. Greg enjoyed traveling, spending time in his pool, jamming out to music (and singing the wrong lyrics), going to the beach, and was an avid sports fan of the Eagles and the Phillies. Greg took over the annual Father’s Day Canoe Trip that was started by his father Joe. They just celebrated their 50th Annual trip in 2019 where he passed the torch onto his sons. He would say that he was always a “busy man,” but made sure he had time for his family, friends, a project to do, and built in time to nap (preferably with a grandchild in his hands).
Greg was the kindest of souls. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He welcomed so many into his heart with open arms, was incredibly generous, and up for just about anything. Most stories that people would share about Greg always began with them laughing and starting with “remember the time that he…”. Those who knew him best will always remember him poolside with a beer in one hand, a cigar in the other, and a smile on his face.
Surviving with his wife of 30 years are children Bob Hudome and wife Meredith, Victoria Heuser and husband Dan, Randy Dargan and fiancé Jamie Fox, Kevin Dargan and wife Ashley, and Chris Biddy and girlfriend Tricia Dougherty; grandchildren Emma, Mason, Landon, Nolan, and Tyler; siblings Shawn, Micki, Kerry, Shannon, and Dani. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by brothers Jeff and Teddy, and sisters Chris, Patti, and Stacey.
A memorial service may be held at a later date once we are able to safely have large gatherings.

Greg was an amazing man, a pleasure to be around. He was the Best Coach Ever and believe me I knew many coaches. He will be missed deeply. Many prayers to Sue and your family.

Our deepest sympathies to Sue and the Dargan Family. Greg’s legacy will live on in the memories of his love for his children and grandchildren. We pray that these memories will help you find peace during this difficult time.
Greg was my second father. He was always someone who I wanted to make proud. I looked up to him and wanted his respect. We had our peaks and valleys but at the end of the day I knew he loved me like any of his other seven or eight kids. He was one of the most loyal people I’ve ever met and he always had your back. He wore his big heart on his sleeve, always had a big smile and will be irreplaceable in my life. I will forever be thankful to have known him and will cherish the memories we shared. Love you Greg.
