Helen A. (Gauger) Nagel, 80, wife of the late Richard C. Nagel of Gilbertsville passed away peacefully on Monday at her home surrounded by her family after a four & a half year battle with cancer.  Born in Linfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Annie (Taggert) Gauger & the late Horace S. Gauger.

She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family & playing dominoes.  She also liked to travel with her companion Jack Aston.

Helen is survived by her children; Rick C. Nagel (husband of Diane) of Fleetwood, Pa., Elizabeth A. Aston, of Gilbertsville, her grandchildren; Nicole Aston & Thomas Arthur, & her great-grandchildren; Matt & Tyler.  She is also survived by her sisters; Viola “Pet” Domin, of Pottstown, Dorothy Miles, of Harleysville, her brothers; Horace “Rube” Gauger, of Gilbertsville, Kendall “Pete” Hoover, of Kenilworth, & her companion, Jack Aston, of Gilbertsville.  Helen was also preceded in death by her sister, the late Charlotte Bauer, & her brothers, the late Warren “Barney” Gauger, the late John J. Gauger, the late Morris T. “Spike” Gauger, & the late Merrill M. “Jim” Gauger.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, Pa., 19525, & to her Visitation on Friday morning from 9-10:15 AM at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.
