Helen M. (Sassaman) Reigner, 95, formerly of Boyertown, wife of the late Melvin Reigner, and long time companion of the late Henry Stofflet, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011, at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown. Born in New Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late Flora (Richards) Sassaman, and the late Frederick Sassaman.

She had been employed for many years as a cafeteria cashier at Boyertown Senior High School, and also as a waitress at the Orioles and Kolb’s Grill in Boyertown. Helen was also an avid bingo player.

Helen is survived by her daughters; Janet Kehl, of Bechtelsville, June Erb, of Boyertown, and Sherry Dries, of Boyertown, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, the late Kenneth Reigner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 10:30 AM with her grandson, Reverend Jace Erb officiating, at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, Pa., 19525. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Boyertown. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 AM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to Manatawny Manor, 30 Old Schuylkill Road, Pottstown, Pa., 19465.
