Herbert E. Booker, Jr., 84, husband of 62 years to Sylvia M. (Mooney) Booker of Oley, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Born in Frazer, he was a son of the late Elizabeth (Rennard) Booker and the late Herbert E. Booker, Sr.

He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, and had been employed for over thirty years by the former Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation. Herbert was also a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Masons. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, camping, bluegrass music, and most of all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son; Skip Booker, husband of Betsy, of Elverson, his daughter, Storie Paige Connors, wife of Greg, of Oley, his brother, Charles Booker, of West Chester, his grandchildren; Janet, Nicholas, Jessica, Douglas, Chase, and his great-grandchildren; Kylie, and December. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter; the late Tracey Booker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, Pa., 19525, and to his Visitation on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:15 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
