Jacob Evan “Jake” Spotts, 20, of Lower Pottsgrove Township, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Jeffrey and Angela (Mazza) Spotts.
Jake was a respectful, sweet and sensitive soul that had a free spirit and enjoyed helping others and simply being with his family, friends and dogs. Jake lived his life to its fullest and loved nature, hiking, drawing, amateur photography of nature + playing basketball and soccer. When Jake smiled and a laughed, you would smile and laugh… and a look, we will just say… you knew 😉
Surviving along with his parents Jeff and Angela, his best friend & Brother Travis; Fisher “The Dog” are Grandmother Dianne Spotts; From his Mazza family: Lynn, Sandra (Mark), Dottie (Brad), Theresa, Natalie (Greg) & Marty (Cindy). From the Spotts family: Judi (Darrell), Lori & Paul (Aggie); and many cousins. He is predeceased by his Grandfather Paul Spotts, and Grandparents Robert and Ethel Mazza.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd. (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468). Burial will follow at St. Al’s New Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00AM-12:45PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Leash on Life (https://newleashonlife-usa.org/donate/ or Animal House Project (www.animalhouseproject.org) in Jake’s name. Or, volunteers needed for Dog walkers at Berks Animal Rescue (https://www.berksarl.org/).
Jacob, it is difficult to accept your passing but we take consolation that you are now freed from your restricting body. May your free spirit be more freer to enjoy your new found freedom. We love you and will miss you at soccer!
Jake was a special guy who’s smile could truly light up a room!! Although no words can express how sorry we are, please know that we are praying for peace for you all!!
