John Budnick, 93, of North Coventry, formerly of Phoenixville, husband of the late Valeria (Nasticky) Budnick, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 10, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital.
Born in Perkiomenville, he was the son of the late Conrad and Ksenia (Chorney) Budnik.
John was a WWII veteran, who served in the US Army, 351st Regiment, 88th Infantry Division in the occupation of Italy. He was a toolmaker and one of the founders of Proto-Cast, Inc. He enjoyed fishing in Ocean City, NJ and, most of all, spending time with family and friends at the cabin he built in Sullivan County.
Devoted father of Valerie Hamilton (Alan), Lorie Lyons (Mike), John “Jack” Budnick (Carol), June McGrath (Kevin), and Janet Coffey (Mike). Loving grandfather to Christine Hamilton, Jessica Hamilton and Kimberly Hamilton-Lamb (Doug); Michael Lyons (Krista), Erin Oosthuizen (Simon), and Aimee Lyons; Brent Budnick and Stephen Budnick; Valerie Ramsburg (Langdon), Ryan McGrath (Kristin); and Julie Lemon (Bob); Michael Coffey, Patrick Coffey, Veronica Coffey and Luke Coffey; and 11 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday December 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mt. Rd., Schwenksville, PA 19474. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville. Visitation will be held Saturday December 19 from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church.
