Kathryn M. (Markopolis) Neiman, 72, of Spring City, formerly of Lock Haven, wife of the late William I. Neiman, passed away Thursday at Manor Care, Pottstown.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Jane (Peersell) Markopolis.

Kathryn was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting cows. She also enjoyed watching western movies and going camping at the mountains.

Surviving are sons William E. Neiman, husband of Beverly of Pottstown, Richard A. Neiman, husband of Donna of Pottstown, and Ronald L. Neiman of Pottstown; daughter Debra McCoy, wife of Daniel of Spring City; grandchildren William, Jason, Tracey, Caroline, Amanda, and Kimberly; great grandchildren Corey and Travis; brothers John Markopolis, Norman Updegrove, Alvin Updegrove, and Bobby Updegrove; sisters Carol Walters and Christine Stoudt; and her beloved canine companion Teddy.

Including her parents and husband, she is predeceased by brothers Donald Goodwin and Ronald Updegrove, sister Laura Updegrove, granddaughter Megan, and great grandson Caleb.

A funeral service will be celebrated Monday, 2:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
