Kevin E. Spitko, 60, of Douglassville, formerly of Royersford, husband of Lesley (Horrocks) Spitko, passed away on Tuesday, June 22 at Pottstown Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Norristown, he is the son of Edward D. and Marjorie M. (Mulhall) Spitko.
Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He owned his own flooring business for many years and worked for Michael’s Classic Limousine. Kevin coached youth baseball and football for many years as well as high school football and softball at Daniel Boone School district. He was very active with the Blazer Mat Club. He enjoyed spending time golfing with his father and brothers. He was a devoted and proud father who was not only involved in coaching but rarely missed a practice, game, or match.
Surviving with his wife are children Ashley Bazzley, wife of Ben, Madison Spitko, Stephen Spitko, Brett Stork, husband of Carolyn, and Kevin Dougherty; brothers Brian Spitko, partner of Dottie Blauser, Daniel Spitko, husband of Terri, Edward Gary Spitko, husband of Ian Bevilacqua, and Jeffrey Spitko; sister Susan (Spitko) Newland; and 6 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Sunday, June 27, 3:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford, with a visitation from 1:00PM to 2:45PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
