Margaret-Jean “MJ” (Ciccone) Prulello, 66, loving wife of Kevin L. Arndt, passed away peacefully at her home in Gilbertsville surrounded by love on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Born in Teaneck, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Ciccone and Rosemarie (Tamborino) Ciccone and was raised in Fort Lee, NJ. MJ lived her early adult years in Highland Mills, NY alongside neighbors who became lifelong friends before moving to Pennsylvania in the mid-90s.
Margaret-Jean had a passion for children. She had a way with them that was reminiscent of Mr. Rodgers. Her patience, compassion and understanding made her an exceptional Assistant Director and lead classroom teacher at St Joseph’s Hill Daycare in Boyertown. MJ had a green thumb and created a beautiful garden every spring. She enjoyed being outdoors every chance she got and recently picked up hiking. MJ loved the sun and could sit from morning until sunset on the beach. Margaret-Jean loved simply spending time with her family and enjoying the company of her beloved friends over a good glass of red wine. The thing that made her happiest in life was making other people happy, her life at the daycare and her adoring grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband Kevin of 3 years, are her children Marissa-Jean Teasley, wife of Ty Teasley, Joseph Prulello, husband of Jennifer, and, Megan Arndt, fiancée of David Bush; brother Anthony Ciccone, husband of Raquel, sister Diane DalZin, wife of Michael, and baby brother Robert Ciccone, husband of Patricia; grandchildren Ty Teasley Jr., Nicholas Prulello, Maria Teasley, Derek Prulello, Aviella Teasley, and Jillian Prulello; 7 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Hill Daycare (244 Koch Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512) or St. Jude’ s Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) in Margaret-Jean’s name.
