Nicholas J. Del Sordo, 78, of Collegeville, husband of Judith A. (Gurski) Del Sordo, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Nick enjoyed a lifetime career in finance and accounting. He worked for and retired from US Foodservice and prior to that worked many years at Philadelphia Hide Brokerage Corporation. Born and raised in South Philly, Nick grew up enjoying baseball and was an avid fan of both the NY Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed many aspects of Philadelphia life, especially a good hoagie and a soft pretzel. He had a love for the opera, both watching performances live and listening to it at home. He was also an enthusiastic reader, particularly of history texts and novels.
Surviving with his wife of 47 years are children Melanie Joseph wife of Michael and Suzanne Laurie wife of Zach; grandchildren Serafina, Phoebe, Caden and Alyssa. Along with his parents, Nick is predeceased by his sister Ginny Del Sordo.
A private service will be held for immediate family.
