Patrick H. Clifford, 80, of Gilbertsville, husband of Joan L. (Kresge) Clifford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home in Gilbertsville.
Born in Duluth, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Thomas and Emma (Haikonen) Clifford.
Patrick was a photographer in the United States Navy. After his service, he was employed as a machinist/quality control inspector at Kulicke & Soffa and AMI as well as a wedding photographer. Patrick enjoyed bowling and pistol shooting and was an avid golfer. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.
His family meant the world to him and he meant the world to his family. So many were considered extended family, adopted sons and daughters. He touched so many lives, many just by a smile. He loved country music and cowboy movies. Roy Rogers was his childhood hero who he continued to watch and listen to throughout his life. His phone would ring, and Happy Trails would play, the same song he sang to the therapists who worked with him.
Surviving along with his wife of 60 years, Joan, his daughter Noreen Stein; son Scott Clifford, husband of Lori; daughter Brenda DiPompeo, wife of Christopher; sisters Judith, Arlene, Barbara, and Mary; brother Tracy and sister Debbie; grandchildren Tom, Jake, husband of Danielle, Dillon, Candice, Ashley, Jennifer, Samantha, and Ryan; great grandchildren Julean, Hailey, and Carly. He is predeceased by his sister Margie and sister Cindy.
