Philip Rehr, 93, of Royersford, husband of the late Elnora (Nade) Rehr, passed away on Sunday, May 30th at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Ebner) Rehr.

Phil was a WWII US Army veteran. He was a member of Humane Fire Company of Royersford, Spring Ford Rescue, the American Legion Post #602 of Spring City and also a member of the Chapel of the Four Chaplains. Phil loved to hunt and camp. He would volunteer his time at the Veterans Center in both Coatesville and Spring City. Phil worked for the railroad, and in 1971 began his long career as a mail clerk at the Southeastern mail plant located in Devon, Pa. He retired in 2008.

Surviving are his sons Jay Rehr and David Dietz; daughters Cindy Pekarick and Diane Kehler. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he is predeceased by his son Bruce Rehr; granddaughter Nicole Pekarick; brothers Mike, Charlie, Jack, Ernest, Harvey, and William Rehr; and sisters Florence Mooric and Mary Derita.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 5, 3:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford, with visitation from 2:00PM till the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil’s name to American Legion Post #602, 25 N Main St, Spring City, PA 19475.
