Phoebe S. (Sypherd) Depue, 91, of Pottstown, wife of the late Rev. John Wesley Depue, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at her home.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lena Irene (Spicher) Sypherd.

Phoebe worked with her husband for South America Mission in Bolivia, SA for 44 years, retiring in 1996. She was also a member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple.

Surviving her are their children Rick and Persida Depue of Bolivia, Larry and Linda Depue of Bolivia, Judy Depue of Pottstown, Bob and Karen Depue of Argentina, Sandy and John Niemeyer of Spain, and Terry and Krystie Depue of Alaska; her siblings John L. Sypherd, Leah Hause, Betty Evans, and Jacob Sypherd; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother James Sypherd.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 24, 11:00AM at Valley Forge Baptist Temple, 616 S Trappe Rd, Collegeville. Public viewing will be from 10:00AM to 10:30AM at the church. To ensure safety for all in attendance, the family will not have a reception line. A video remembering the life of Phoebe will be shown at the church from 10:30AM to the start of the service. Burial will be at Limerick Garden of Memories directly following the service and all are welcome.
