Richard C. Oxenford, 75, of Lower Pottsgrove Township, Pottstown, husband of Mary (Smith) Oxenford, passed on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on September 21, 1945 in Pottstown Hospital, he was the son of the late
William and Minnie (Lamp) Oxenford.

Richard served in Vietnam for the US Marines in 1967 to 1969. He was an avid coin collector and NASCAR fan. Richard was retired from Tom Barkley Automotive in Royersford and worked part time at NAPA in Pottstown.

Surviving with his wife of 50 years is stepson Stanley Davidheiser and his wife Tracy, son Richard C. Oxenford Jr, daughter Stephanie Oxenford, grandchildren included Trey Davidheiser, Zared Davidheiser, Matthew Oxenford, Ashli Rizzuti, Alex Rodriguez and Zachary Rodriguez, and brother, Paul Oxenford. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Buddy. He was predeceased by a brother, William Oxenford.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. Military honors will be rendered.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s name to Southeastern Veterans Center, 1 Veterans Dr, Spring City, PA 19475.
