Richard M. Fad, 76, of Boyertown, husband of Catherine F. (Karznski) Fad, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at Reading Hospital.

Born in Ft. Washington, he was the son of the late Otto and Katherine (Morgan) Fad.

Richard attended Upper Dublin High School and graduated from Moravian College in 1966. He served in the US Army from 1967 to 1972 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Rich worked 35 years at Visteon in North Wales as a material control manager. After retirement he volunteered at Boyertown Multi Service Center delivering Meals on Wheel and preparing income tax. Rich also had a passion for classical music which he enjoyed throughout
his life.

Surviving with his wife of 34 years are children Matthew Fad, husband of Jacqueline, Regan Fad, wife of Bob Boland, Rebecca McElwee, wife of Jason, William Valinote, husband of Terri, and Anthony Valinote, husband of Michelle; brothers Arthur, Robert and Bruce; sisters Karen and Kathy; and 8 grandchildren who he adored. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Otto and sister Annamarie.

A private memorial service will be held in the spring for the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
