Robert "Bob" A. Kinsky, 55, of North Coventry Twp., Pottstown, passed away on Tuesday at home after a long battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Helen M. (Kuchta) Kinsky for 34 years on September 13, 2009.  Robert was born in Pottstown and was the son of the late Albert J. and Nora E. (Kenny) Kinsky.
Surviving with his wife are his three children, daughter Maria Elizabeth Aiello, wife of Larry, of Clermont, FL; sons Albert Joseph Kinsky of Harrisburg, PA and Patrick Robert Kinsky of Columbus, OH; his brother John "Jack" Charles Kinsky, husband of Pam, of Warminster, PA; his twin sisters Kathleen Pelna, wife of Siggy, of East Coventry Twp. and Eileen Szell, wife of Frank, of Upper Pottsgrove Twp.; two grandchildren Brandon Michael and Kara Elizabeth Aiello, Clermont, FL; and nieces and nephews Tracey Cassidy, Stacey Retallick, Kelly Rojas, Noreen Nouza, Andrea Mock, Stephen Pelna, Brad Szell and Doug Szell.
Robert grew up in Royersford, PA and attended Spring Ford High School until his senior year. He graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School in 1972. He was a member of The Coventry Church of the Brethren in North Coventry.  Robert began "workin' on the railroad" as a locomotive engineer with the Reading Railroad and due to his illness, retired with the Norfolk Southern Corporation after 37 years of service.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Division 146 and served as secretary, treasurer and president during his membership.  Robert was the last locomotive engineer to run a steam-powered locomotive passenger train in 1983 on a nostalgic round trip from Reading to Valley Forge to East Falls and back.  He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather who was a non-smoker and non-drinker.
The funeral service will be Monday 10:30AM at The Coventry Church of the Brethren, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown with Pastor Sandford J. Christophel. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford.  Friends may call on Sunday from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford and on Monday from 9:30AM to 10:15AM at the Coventry Church of the Brethren.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to The Coventry Church of the Brethren Helping Hand Fund, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown, PA 19465.
