S. Kathryn (Stetler) Miller, 86, of Pottstown, wife of the late Walter R. Miller, passed away on Monday at her home.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Noel H. B. and M. Rebecca (Feather) Stetler.
Kathryn was a member of St. John’s UCC in Pottstown where she was an adult Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir, and a president of both the Consistory and The Women’s Guild. She worked for the Hill School for 29 years as a registrar, retiring in 1990. Kathryn would volunteer and was a board member for 4 years for The Cluster of Religious Communities in Pottstown. She was a member of the Schwenksville Civic Club and the Women’s Club of Pottstown where she was president for 4 years. She also worked part time as a receptionist at the YWCA in Pottstown for 4 years.
She is survived by her sons Walter R. Miller Jr., husband of Judith, of Pottstown and Edward C. Miller, husband of Sandi, of Bechtelsville; sisters Jane Kohler and Mildred Bliem, both of Sanatoga; grandchildren Andrew S., Robert C., Tracey and Brian E. Miller, and Darlene Harris; and great grandchildren Christopher, Austin, Alyssa and Katie Miller and Tyler and Sabrina Harris. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Virginia Bagenstose and Gladys Grove and brother Charles Stetler.
A memorial service will be Sunday, 3:30PM at St. John’s UCC, 11 S. Price Street, Pottstown. Burial in Highland Memorial Park will be private.
