Sara “Sally” H. Kent, of Pottstown, East Coventry Twp., passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Pottstown Hospital.

Born on December 10, 1937 in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon and Hilda (Marshall) Kent. She was predeceased by Helen Marshall (aunt) and Edward D. Mesta of Pittsburgh, PA (cousin).

Sally graduated from S. Horace High School in Coatesville. She earned a B.S. in music education from West Chester University and a master’s in library science from Villanova University. Sally was a vocal music teacher and elementary district librarian at Owen J. Roberts School. She had deep love for bagpipe music and became pipe major and business manager for the Hamilton Celtic Pipes and Drums Band. (2006-2018). She also gave great support to the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her cousin Edward Mesta of KY. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her aunt Helen Marshall and cousin Edward D. Mesta.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 595 Church Street, Royersford on Wednesday, August 25, 11:00AM. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, 786 Oak Street, Coatesville will be at a later date.
