Sarah E. (Belt) Beckley, known by all as Betsy, 96, of Green Lane, wife of the late Warren R. Beckley, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Pennsburg Manor.

Born in Baltimore, MD and formerly of St. Michael’s MD, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Fisher) Belt.

Sarah loved her family more than anything. She was always helping where she could, whether it was watching the grandchildren, making a meal, baking cookies, repairing clothes or making a Halloween costume for her granddaughters. She was a great mother and grandmother and most of all loved just being “part of it all”. She had a wanderlust and always wanted to “go”, whether by car, train, plane or ship. Sarah always did a lot with a little and taught us how to do the same. She said her memories were her most prized possessions, and at 96 years, 5 months, 2 weeks and 6 days, she is taking many with her. She was a member of the greatest generation and behaved that way. “Betsy” loved to read, keep up with current events, and could strike up a friendly conversation with anyone.

Surviving is son Clint Beckley, husband of Maria and their daughters Lauren and Paige; daughter Susan E. Miller, wife of Robert and their children Megan and Ian; grandchildren Sam and Ben from predeceased son Steven; and brother Philip Belt; and great grandchildren Tate, Cooper, and Hazel. She was loved by all, her family and many friends and will be sadly missed. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother Richard Belt.

Services and interment are private and at a later date
