Sharon Jeanne Clark Geisel, 74, of Pottstown, PA reached eternal rest on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Sharon was born in The Dalles, OR on July 3, 1946, the daughter of the late Victor M. and the late Jeanne (Madden) Clark.

She was raised in Toledo, OH and moved to Douglassville, PA in 1979.
Sharon is predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert J. Geisel.
She attended and graduated from St. Ursula Academy, Toledo, OH, University of Toledo and St. Vincent School of Nursing Hospital. Sharon began her career as a pediatric oncology nurse in both Ohio and Pennsylvania at St. Joseph’s hospital in Reading, PA. She worked as a case manager and case management supervisor for Horizon Healthcare Consultants in King of Prussia, PA for 24 years before retiring in 2015. The last 10 years of her career she worked as the Vice President of Operations.
Bob and Sharon were a team couple for Marriage Encounter in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. They were members of the Pre-Cana teams at St. Aloysius and St. Thomas More for many years. They taught CCD at St. Thomas More and Sharon was a lecturer at mass.

On behalf of Sharon’s family, we want to thank the amazing hospice nurses and staff at both Bayada Hospice and Seasons Hospice for providing her with the best care.

Sharon is survived by daughter Elizabeth Mitchell Calvin, wife of Jim Calvin, of Pottstown, PA, son Andrew J. Geisel of Reading, PA and daughter Michelle Fisher of Pottstown, PA. Grandchildren – Madeline, Lauren, Samuel and Jake Mitchell; Andrew V. Geisel; Liam, Reese and Sadie Fisher; and Sophia and Anna Calvin. She is also survived by her brother John Clark, husband of Tina Clark; many cousins in Ohio and Oregon; six Geisel brothers-in-law and eight Geisel sisters-in-law plus 27 nieces and nephews and 46 great nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Parish, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
