Stan Hyland, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home in Montoursville. Born April 1953, in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Carl C. Testa and Helen Elaine (Reinert) Hyland. He is survived by his brother Lloyd, his wife Michelle and nephew Calvin. Stan grew up in Stowe and was a drummer in his younger teen years. He played in the bands “The Suspects” and “The Soul Reflections”. He graduated from Pottsgrove High School and Western Montgomery County Vo Tech. In his early 20’s Stan moved to Williamsport as part of the recovering community. In 1987 he received the PA Master of Human Services from Lincoln University, and many other degrees. Stan was co-founder of Diversified Treatment Alternatives and Behavioral Specialists Inc. He had a unique and extraordinary gift of being able to make children and families feel at ease when directing them through their difficulties. Stan was a great mentor for the staff as he demonstrated a very personal interactive approach for others to model. The foundation for his life centered around his dedication toward sobriety and his strong fellowship with the recovering community.
He always treated everyone as family!
God Bless you Brother!
