I worked with Tom at Limerick for many years. He was definitely one of the good guys, always hard working and kind and always smiling. He will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to Susan and the Strawley family.

I worked with Tom at Limerick for many years. He was one of the good guys, always helpful and kind, and always smiling. He will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to Susan and the Strawley family.
Susan and Family, so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.
I met Tom for the first time in early 2000s while working with him on a MV Cable issue they had at Limerick. It was difficult to not immediately like Tom. With a very friendly demeanor, a quick sharp wit and a great sense of humor, Tom became someone I always enjoyed talking to over the many years that followed. What always impressed me about Tom was how he would address any technical problem that came his way, asking questions, probing for answers, doing research on his own, ultimately coming up with an informed, educated conclusion, based on sound engineering – something that is unfortunately not that common these days.
Tom would then willingly share his hard-earned knowledge and experience, always ready to help and support those who needed it, in the same friendly, cordial and professional way.
Limerick and Exelon have lost a great Engineer, and while I do not know Tom’s family, my heartfelt sympathy, condolences, and prayers go out to you all, as you mourn the loss of a great person and friend. Tom, I know will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
My deepest sympathies to the family. I worked with Tom at Schuylkill Station back in the early 80’s when we were Philadelphia Electric. Tom was a great guy and so much fun to work with. Back then, we were all just starting our families, socializing at company picnics, events, and dinners. Diana and I have very fond memories of those times with Tom and Sue and our families. More recently, I had the opportunity to meet Tom Jr. and Victoria at PECO. Tom always brighten up my day with his great sense of humor and friendship. He will be missed by many.
Sue and family, so sorry for your loss. Susan and I send our prayers and condolences.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom and his loving family. We pray that you all may be comforted by God’s grace and love that so many people are sending your way.
I only knew Tom through the email correspondence concerning testing of the cables from the Limerick Generating Station in the laboratory I worked for. The correspondence lasted for few years until I noticed another electrical engineer from the plant sending out the cable samples. This way, I learned about Tom failing health. It had to be about five years ago. I hope He did not suffer greatly during His last years on Earth.
I never met Tom personally, so my impression of Him is based only on emails received.
In a forensic analysis of the plant’s event, as in any investigation, it is essential to receive accurate and trustworthy information about the prior events possibly leading to the cable failure. It was always a pleasure to read Tom’s description and account of the event. It was always prepared with great care, complete professionalism, and without consideration of the amount of work it required.
Tom, you will be greatly missed by your wife of 38 years, your wonderful family, and the cable engineer community to which you contributed significantly through your knowledge and professional curiosity.
Rest in peace, Tom.

Tom was not just an excellent technician (one of the best I ever worked with), he was always a pleasure to work, and play with. I have a lot of fond memories of the many times we worked with each other, often under pressure, but he almost always kept his cool. He was the calm to my storm. My deepest condolences for the loss of an exceptional human being
Sue and Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss.

This is heartbreaking news. I met Tom at Schuylkill Station in 1982 where I started with the company. He became my friend and mentor. We shared many good times at both Schuylkill and Limerick. My daughter remembers Tom from the fun times we had during company day at West Point Park. I have many fond memories of Tom, such a great guy. My deepest condolences to Sue and family. RIP Tom.
Tom came to Schuylkill Station in 1982 as a Technical Assistant and quickly became an integral part of the Test Engineer Group. He was also a dedicated Eagles fan which made the fit even better. I cannot think of Tom without a smile coming to my face.
In the plant Tom was a tireless worker and when he finished a job he always came back and asked what else he could do. It did not matter who he was working with; operators, maintenance, or technical staff, his friendly matter and desire to get things fixed were always welcome as well as his technical expertise.
Outside of work his skill at basketball and touch football were a joy to see and a nightmare to defend. I always wanted to be on Tom’s team! Also, his pranks at “Transfer Dinners” were always original like the “Glasses and Mustache” for servers which was my favorite, just ahead of “Larry the Lobster”.
God Bless you Tom. You left a lasting positive impression on everyone whose life you touched. Rest In Peace Tom.
What a loss. I worked with Tom at Schuylkill Station. We both started in 1982. Whether it was calibrating a Bailey Meter, replacing a motherboard (hot!) for the Westinghouse controls or referring to the “shanty rules” for donut requirements, Tom was always a fun guy to work with. Always positive – a contributor. What a darn shame to lose TJS.
My deepest sympathy to Strawley family.
Tom was a wonderful co-worker who graciously shared his knowledge with those less gifted in an unassuming manner. He was a rare individual and will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to his family.
Susan, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May Tom rest in peace.
Sue, I was so sad to hear this. I think of Tom and immediately remember his big friendly smile. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
