Thomas R. “Tom” Hatosy, 77, of Royersford, husband of Claudia A. (Gunther) Hatosy, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Eiler) Hatosy.
Tom loved watching his kids and grandchildren play sports. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to him, and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. He supported St. Judes, World Vision, the NYFD and the NYPD. Tom was a friend to all and family to them in any time of need. He would give the shirt off his back if asked. Everyone knew his sarcasm and wit as his expressions of love whether it was “What’s up sweet lips” when you met or “See you later alligator” as you left. To all the women that he told when my wife kicks off “It’s you and me honey”, blame Claudia for not going first. Last but not least, “You have no concept”.
Surviving with his wife of almost 50 years are daughters Robin Strzeminski and Renee Hatosy; son Matt Hatosy; brothers Bob Hatosy and Craig Hatosy; and grandchildren Evan and Jack Strzeminski, Collin and Braedon DeMilta.
The visitation/celebration of Tom’s life will be Saturday March 13, 11:00am at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford. Followed by a short service to say goodbye starting at 1:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s name to Wounded Warrior Project, Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516; St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to any local homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
…Cheers to the man upstairs.
