Troy A. Yingling Sr., age 38, of Exeter Twp., and formerly of Boyertown, died Wednesday in Reading Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Ronald G. and Dorothy S. (Houser) Yingling, of Exeter Twp.

Troy had worked as a cook for his parents, who owned the former Yingling’s Restaurant, in Boyertown, and later he owned and operated Yingling’s Construction, in Exeter Twp.

He attended Boyertown Schools, in addition to the Boyertown Mennonite Church, in Boyertown. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his children.

Surviving with his parents are two sons, Jacob Schrump, of New Berlinville, and Troy A. Yingling Jr., of Gilbertsville, along with two daughters, Stephanie and Alyssa Yingling, of Gilbertsville. He is also survived by a brother, Wayde A. Yingling, of Pottstown, and two sisters, Yvonne M. Stock, of Bechtelsville, and Karen S. MacLachlin, of New Berlinville.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville, with Pastor Nelson Shenk, officiating. Burial will be in Boyertown Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
