Vincent S. Giaquinto, 80, of Linfield, formerly of Limerick, husband of Mary Gertrude (Fennell) Giaquinto, passed away on Thursday, December 10th at Cape Reginal Medical Center in Cape May Court House, NJ.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Pietro and Angelina Giaquinto.
Vincent was a member of ST. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church in Schwenksville. He enjoyed bowling and was proud of his first-place league championship. He loved all types of card games and board games, especially Yahtzee. Vincent was happiest when he was around his grandchildren and loved going to his shore home with them. Affectionately known as “The Junk Man” by his family and friends, Vincent will be sadly missed.
Surviving with his wife of 50 years are daughters Bernadette Darragh, wife of Sean. Mary Kate Glinski, wife of Robert, Jane Marie Swavely, wife of Darrin, and Julie Pinner, wife of Jerry; sister Elizabeth Zubko; grandchildren Darrin Jr., Alex, Eileen, David, Marty, Caitlyn, C.J., Vincent, Kayley, and Katie; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his Brother Allen; Sister-in-Law Margaretta Giaquinto, and brother-in-law Walt Zubko.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 18, 12:30PM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, with Msgr. Kevin Lawrence officiating. Burial to follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be Thursday from 6PM to 8PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford and on Friday from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the church.
In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, masks are to be worn and social distancing is to be practiced at both visitations and the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vincent’s name to SCAD bowling.
