Founded in 1985 by Gregg S. Catagnus and his wife Mindy, Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center Inc. is dedicated to the finest professional service to all faiths, to the Pottstown area.

Our spacious and contemporary up to date funeral homes, along with large parking areas both off street and on street, will accommodate any family’s needs. We also offer state of the art audio and visual memorials and a complete sound system throughout our facilities for any special music a family may wish to share. We help our families with notifying social security, obtaining any military benefits and requesting social, fraternal or military services such as Masonic, Elk, Knights of Columbus, or Military Honors, etc.

In 1994 Mr. Catagnus opened the second Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. located at 1020 East Philadelphia Avenue in Gilbertsville, PA. Since that time the Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center has grown to include five full-time staff people and a number of valuable part-time people.

Gregg opened the Royersford location in May 2004, at 329 North Lewis Road in Royersford, PA. The newest facility opened in April 2021 located in Trappe to serve, Limerick Township, Trappe, Collegeville and surrounding areas.

Together, Mr. Catagnus, his wife Mindy, and a professional dedicated staff are the largest provider of funeral and cremation services in the Tri-County area.

A state of the art crematory facility was added in 2011 to better serve those families that request cremation and related services. This also ensures that your loved one always stays in the care of Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Starting in 2021 Brent Budnick and Stephen Budnick joined Gregg and Mindy Catagnus in serving the Pottstown and Gilbertsville areas.

Gregg and his wife Mindy opened their first funeral home, located at 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA in 1985. Gregg is a 1983 Graduate of Northampton Community College Funeral Service Education Program in Bethlehem, PA.

Nine years later, in 1994, Gregg and Mindy opened their second funeral home location at 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA. 

Ten years after opening their Gilbertsville location, they opened the third Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA.

They proudly offer, along with their professional staff, Caring and Compassionate Service to the Pottstown, Boyertown, and Royersford communities along with all the communities that surround them. 

Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center has been serving the Tri-County area since 1985, and is proud to be the largest provider of funeral and cremation services.
