Patricia A. “Pat” (Davidheiser) Wisler, 73

Patricia A. “Pat” (Davidheiser) Wisler, 73, passed away suddenly on September 8, 2021, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. She was stricken at the Manor at Market Square in Reading, PA and was transported via ambulance to the hospital. Earlier this year, Pat was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (“ALS” or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”). Prior to serious health issues in January of this year, she resided in Boyertown, PA. Born in Sellersville, PA, on December 10, 1947, Pat was the daughter of James H. & Grace S. Davidheiser. She was a 1965 graduate of Boyertown Area High School. Pat also graduated from Temple University School of Dental Hygiene. Previous to her Temple University studies, she received Dental Assistant training in Manhattan, New York City, NY. Pat enjoyed a 50-year career as a Licensed Dental Hygienist in Pennsylvania, Oregon, and the State of Washington. She was a devout Christian, and she especially enjoyed “Christian praise” music. Her passion for journaling allowed her to express her deepest and most sincere thoughts and beliefs. Pat is survived by her three children: Brian Wisler, husband of Nicole, Kirkland, Washington; Michael Wisler, husband of Leah, Snohomish, Washington; and Erika McCann, wife of Mike McCann, Dallas, Texas. In addition, she is survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Linda Fitzgerald, wife of Patrick Fitzgerald, East Amherst, New York; and brother, Jim Davidheiser, husband of Diane, Boyertown, Pennsylvania, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jane Davidheiser and her brother, Robert Davidheiser. A “Remembrance Service and Celebration of Life” will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Penn State Hershey ALS Research Center, 30 Hope Drive, Hershey, PA 17033; or J-Walkers, c/o Jim Davidheiser, 96 Cricket Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.

Sending thoughts and prayers to the family. So sorry for your loss. Pat was my second cousin and I even had a chance to work with her for a dentist in the 70s. May she be at peace and no more pain or suffering. Love, Brenda(Graber) Norman and family
