Marvin F. Breidegam, 92, of Boyertown, Douglass Twp., husband of the late Shirley A. (Samsel) Breidegam, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Reading Hospital.

Born on his family farm in Dryville, he was the son of the late Gideon and Sadie (Haas) Breidegam.

Marvin was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean war. He worked for Henkels and McCoy as a truck driver for 25 years and was a member of Electricians Union (IBEW Local union #126 Electrical Union). He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was also a member of Victor Emmanuel’s in Reading.

Surviving are sons Scott Breidegam and Greg Breidegam; daughter Kathy wife of Charles Gebhard; sister Hannah Kniss; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his sons Jeff Breidegam and Gary Breidegam; grandson Alex; granddaughter Heather; and 8 siblings.

Services and internment are private for the family.

You are a true testament of fortitude, patience, love, for the many sleepless nights and countless hours and days, that turned in years of dedication. I thank God that He has blessed you with the ability to impart so much! I hope to be like you with my own family! Our deepest sympathies also to Greg and Kathy, never nothing but sweet love for you form both Shirley and Marvin!
