Marvin F. Breidegam, 92, of Boyertown, Douglass Twp., husband of the late Shirley A. (Samsel) Breidegam, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Reading Hospital.

Born on his family farm in Dryville, he was the son of the late Gideon and Sadie (Haas) Breidegam.

Marvin was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean war. He worked for Henkels and McCoy as a truck driver for 25 years and was a member of Electricians Union (IBEW Local union #126 Electrical Union). He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was also a member of Victor Emmanuel’s in Reading.

Surviving are sons Scott Breidegam and Greg Breidegam; daughter Kathy wife of Charles Gebhard; sister Hannah Kniss; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his sons Jeff Breidegam and Gary Breidegam; grandson Alex; granddaughter Heather; and 8 siblings.

Services and internment are private for the family.

Life goes by soooooo quickly! Marvin and the Breidegam Family have been some of the most precious lives that have touch mine, over many years and I have been the more blessed and honored to know!!! Our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies!!! Thank you to “Cousin” Scott for your persistent dedication , long suffering and care that you were willing and able to impart to your parents!!! You are a true testament of fortitude, patience, love, for the many sleepless nights and countless hours and days, that turned in years of dedication. I thank God that He has blessed you with the ability to impart so much! I hope to be like you with my own family! Our deepest sympathies also to Greg and Kathy, never nothing but sweet love for you form both Shirley and Marvin! May you all be lead to the quiet waters as we look forward to the day when there will be no more death, no more crying or pain, when He will wipe every tear!!! Revelation 21:4 ??
