Ronald Norris Long, 82, formerly of Harford County, MD, passed away Friday October 15, 2021 at Sanatoga Center.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Norris Winfield and Margaret (Gunderman) Long.
Ronald served in the US Navy. He retired from General Motors Corporation after 40 years, where he was employed as an electrician for the plant. Ron was an avid outdoorsman; he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and gardening. He was an original member of the Corkers Creek Sportsman’s Club on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Surviving are two sons Michael Long, and Thomas Long, husband of Holly; two daughters Cynthia Long, and Catherine Montufar, wife of Norman; and four grandchildren Brandon, Noah, Selena, and Evan.
Along with his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sister Elaine Robinson.
A funeral service will be held Thursday October 28, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Visitation will be held from 6:00-6:45 PM at the funeral home. A visitation will be held from 10:00-10:30 AM immediately followed by burial on Saturday October 30, 2021 at Lorraine Park Cemetery Chapel, 5608 Dogwood Rd., Baltimore, MD 21207.
