Sarah E. “Sally” (Hubbard) Williams, 78, of Pottstown, Warwick Twp., wife of Wesley N. Williams, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home.
Born in Roxborough, she was the daughter of the late David Hubbard and Doris (Culley) Hubbard Hastings.
Sally’s joy in the pursuit of excellence showed through in every aspect of her life. At 45 years of age, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and was initiated into the National Honorary Mathematics Society. She went on to become a senior software engineer for Lockheed Martin for 26 years. She earned a black belt in martial arts, and in the same way, poured her heart and soul into countless other endeavors. Most of all she will be remembered for the way the she applied that drive for excellence and commitment to loving people in her life. She was truly an inspirational woman and will always be in our hearts.
Surviving with her husband of 58 years is daughter Audrey H. Buckley; son Ken Williams; sister Patricia Burkett; brothers Bob Schaum, husband of Betty, and David Schaum, husband of Donna; grandchildren Christa, Ryan and Laurie Buckley, Marley and Max Williams and Megan Montoya; great grandchildren Kaden, Devyn, Brooke, Alaina, Callie, and Theo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her lifelong friend Mary Ellen Aicher and family.
A memorial service will be held on November 6, 2021, 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church of Pottstown, with visitation from 9:30AM to 10:45AM. Burial will be private.
